Axel Wilhelm Berle is an experienced international IT consultant and software developer with over 20 years of industry expertise. Originally from Belgium, Axel studied computer science in Koblenz, Germany before settling in Brazil, where he has been living for more than two decades. His journey with Scrum began in 2011 when he joined Payback as a Java developer, taking him from Brazil to Munich and eventually to India for a project.

Working in agile teams opened Axel’s eyes to a new way of working, and he became passionate about specializing in Scrum and Agility to help others embark on the same path. Throughout his career, he has served as an agile developer, Scrum Master, trainer, and coach for reputable companies including the National Bank of Kuwait, Magazine Luiza, Santander, Lufthansa Systems, Devk, Dekra, Seguros Sura, Syngenta, and Heine.

In 2018, Axel obtained his license from the Scrum Alliance to lead Scrum Foundations and Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) training courses. He actively shares his expertise by speaking at conferences on topics such as Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) as techniques for agile quality assurance, as well as various workshop formats for product inceptions. Axel is the founder and leader of the Brazilian meetup “Scrum & Agility Brasil.” He conducts his training courses in German, English, Portuguese, or Spanish, depending on the participants’ needs. Axel’s vast experience and multilingual capabilities make him a valuable asset in the world of Scrum and Agile.
