About Raúl

Raúl Herranz is a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST) and a Senior Agile Coach at Agilar. He has been a Scrum practitioner since his first contact with Agile in a project for the regional government of Asturias (Spain) in 2004, after several years working as an IT developer with traditional methodologies. After this first Agile project, Raúl worked in different companies introducing Scrum in the Projects and in the Development of Products he was working on. In 2011, he began to work as an Agile and Scrum Trainer and Agile Coach, helping different teams and companies with the adoption of Scrum and Agile Values and Principles.

Raúl has organized, attended, presented and/or facilitated sessions at a large number of national and international conferences, including ScrumDays, CAS, AOS and Scrum Gatherings of the Scrum Alliance. He has also written several articles, as well as the books “In Search of Code Excellence” and “Take Off with Scrum”, with the aim of sharing the knowledge gained from his experience working and helping others to work in an Agile way.

He lives in Tenerife, but works on the formation of high-performance teams worldwide using the values ​​and principles of the Agile world as a basis, especially giving importance to communication/transparency and emphasizing the importance of people in the industry of knowledge. Raúl designs and teaches the best valued training activities on Agile topics: from Scrum and Agile practices for Developers trainings, to all kinds of workshops and talks on diverse Agile topics. All this, backed by extensive experience in both real projects, together with the possession of a large number of agile certifications (CSM, CSPO, CSD, CSP and CST of the Scrum Alliance, PMI-ACP of the Project Management Institute, PSM I and PSPO I of Scrum.org, Scrum Manager…).
